We’re looking forward to welcoming you to Silchester Fireworks on Saturday 7th November for a brilliant evening at Silchester House. There’ll be a spectacular fireworks display set to iconic movie soundtracks, a bonfire, hot food, drinks and a licensed bar.
Here’s everything you need to know before the night.
TIMINGS
- Gates open: 5.30pm
- Bonfire lighting: 6.30pm
- Gates close at 6.50pm. Please arrive in good time, as no entry will be possible after this
- Fireworks: 7.00pm prompt
TICKETS
The event is sold out, so no tickets will be available on the night. Please have your pre-purchased tickets ready to be scanned on entry.
GETTING HERE
The event will be held at Silchester House, Holly Lane, Silchester
- If you can, please walk or car share, as parking in the village is limited. If you are a SIlchester resident, please share your driveway parking.
- If you’re driving, please park at Silchester Pavilion (RG7 2PH) and walk up to Silchester House. Disabled parking will be at Silchester village hall (RG7 2NE)
- Please don’t park on Bramley Road
- Holly Lane will be closed to vehicles
- Please be considerate of local residents and don’t block driveways or access points
- The site is dark and the ground can be uneven, so a torch and sensible footwear are a good idea ie. wellies
FOOD, DRINK AND GLOWS
We will be serving hot food and refreshments throughout the evening, and would really appreciate you supporting our fundraising by eating at the venue.
The following will be available:
- Burgers and cheeseburgers
- Hot dogs
- Vegan burgers (V)
- Vegan Hot Dogs (V)
- Gluten-free burgers and hot dogs (GF)
- Heinz Tomato Soup
- Chocolate brownies
If you want to guarantee a gluten-free or vegan option, we would advise pre-ordering.
You can also skip the queues by ordering your food by Friday night at …. Xxxx
Tea, coffee, hot chocolate, canned drinks and fruit shoots will also be on sale.
No food or drink to be bought to the venue.
Our well-stocked bar will also be serving soft drinks, mulled wine, cider and beer.
Visit the Silchester PTA team at their Glow Stall and light up your evening before the big show. Sweets will also be available.
STAYING SAFE
We want everyone to have a fantastic and safe evening, so please:
- Follow the signs, listen to the stewards and stay within the designated areas at all times.
- Please ensure your children are supervised at all times. Lost children will be taken to the first aid tent for safekeeping
- Qualified first aiders will be on site throughout the event.
- The first aid tent is the meeting point for any lost children.
PLEASE NOTE
- Personal fireworks strictly prohibited, including sparklers.
- Portaloos are available on site.
- Unfortunately, the venue is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs
- No cash accepted. Cards only.
